hello from the deep south

In the Deep South of Mobile, Alabama, folks use their natural resources

to make wreaths.

Husband's grandparents made these wreaths a few years ago.
They actually jumped a fence to get the cotton from a nearby field!

I hope wherever you are, you're enjoying special little touches of seasonal color,

and creatively making up for whatever your environment may lack,

in simple abundance,

and hiding subtle touches of joy,

to surprise those around you,

with, of course, all the traditional splendor

and sweetness,

and intricacies,

of this wonderful season of expectancy, fulfillment, wonder, innocence, and joy.

  1. Merry Christmas, Scattering Lupines! Enjoy the festivities.

  2. Merry Christmas, Lupine! Looks like you are having a wonderful time! Enjoy every minute :) I like the idea of hiding subtle touches of Joy!
