Oh, Country has COME to Town!
We have been thinking for quite some time that the parking lot for the Lowe's near our house was a tad bit small to be in such a bustling metropolis as downtown Charlotte, NC.
Then, we learned that there is more parking--
on the roof!
Of course, I immediately began probing for reasons to go to Lowe's. I forgot, however, that my husband majored in Building Science and spends his days making edifices grow from barren ground. So, he wanted to go find this enigmatic parking lot on the roof too!
(We are both from Alabama. We've never seen such wondrous things!)
I won't give you too many pictures of the views from the roof for fear you might cease to be impressed (if, in fact, you ever were impressed in the first place) and the ring of this tale will lose its lustrous appeal.
(The views weren't that great. Nothing like the rooftops of London that Mary Poppins traversed.)
But ah, the vegetation of Life insists on finding its way to the most remote desert places-- even on the rooftops of bustling metropolises!
How much more do the wellsprings of Life relentlessly seek our human souls, I wonder....
Lovely writings...You DO have a way with words - the vegetation of life indeed:) - LOVE it....This was the perfect "snippet" to begin my day...Lug, Mug
ReplyDeleteAhh! Rooftops! The city's mountain view. A little closer to God? Also the vegetation in cracks of sidewalks. . .You DO find God in the most wonderful places, Scattering Lupines! Thanks for today's inspiration.
