Bite-Size Watermelon

From our simple little garden,
grew a simple little watermelon.
At the size of a tennis ball,
it showed all the signs of being ripe and ready to eat.

So, tiny slices of watermelon were cut and served.

And it tasted like big watermelons taste. And it filled like big watermelons fill.

Have you ever seen such a thing?

It reminds me of the story of the Loaves and the Fishes, which can be found in these three places, with only slight variations, all rich in meaning:

Mark 8:1-10
Luke 9:10-17
John 6:1-14

  3. These are so great! I grew 'Sugar Babies' in a garden once, but they only grew to about the size of a grapefruit. I would take a small slice off the top and pack them in my lunchbag with a spoon - mmmmmmm!
    Enjoy them!
