Dwell In Possibility

(Photo via here)

I dwell in Possibility--
A fairer House than Prose--
More numerous of Windows--
Superior--for Doors--
Of Chambers as the Cedars--
Impregnable of Eye--
And for an Everlasting Roof
The Gambrels of the Sky--
Of Visitors--the fairest--
For Occupation--This--
The spreading wide my narrow Hands
To gather Paradise--
-Emily Dickinson

  1. Lovely. I like Dickinson's punctuation. Very radical for her time.
I think I'm going to dust my Uni books off. Thanks for the inspiration!

  2. I've been wanting to write you that email about Austrian health care for a while, but I'm just not getting around to it. Hope you don't mind waiting.

  3. Yiota~ glad you were inspired! This is one of my favorite poems. It reminds me to have faith and live life to the fullest, always open to learning and changing and growing...

Country Girl~ Take your time. I know that's the sort of thing you have to be in the right kind of mood for. Plus, you've had a sick little puppy on your hands!

  6. So glad you stopped by. Your beer bread sounds fantastic. I bet that smells good in the kitchen.I just LOVE the bread baking. I am making pizza tonight. Have the "poolish" ( a new term for me) resting in the refrigerator.

I am following that group of bakers I found on the "Pinch My Salt" blog. They are the BBA bakers. Bread Baker's Apprentice from the bread book by Peter Reinhart. Great Book!

Have you been on my friend Sharon Lovejoy's blog. She recently did a post on Miss Rumphius. I have a "big crush" on all things New England too !

    Have a great weekend.
    Best,
