I don't generally get into celebrities, but every now and then I must admit that my blasted human nature gets the better of me and a few celebs catch my fancy.
Like the ones who can make MuSiC
AND act
while appearing to be walking, talking pieces of-- for lack of a better term-- human artwork. In a sense, I guess they could be categorized as "human artwork" because that's what their producers and managers are doing with their entire image: creating it.
So, I like Zooey Deschanel for her style. I don't know what charities she gives to or if she recycles or volunteers her free time for the Good of humanity. I don't really know anything about her other than this: she has a classy yet vintage-trendy style that I really like...
And she can do this:
Watch out. It's loud!
(There's a better clip of the same scene here.)
She can even do a Cotton commercial that makes you tap your feet and sway:
(See more on this clever ad campaign here.)
Are you tapping your foot? Did these make you smile? Are you going out to sign up for voice and ballroom dancing now?
Gosh! She sings beautifully! What an amazing voice! If I didn't know it was today's music, I'd think I was listening to a singer from another era.30s, 40's? I don't really know; sorry. And her looks! I liked the commercial.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing. I'll let the music play while having my journey at blogland.
you should always reference tattoos...and, did you know that Zoey is the sister of the chick that plays Bones in the series of the same name?
ReplyDeleteNeat! I did not know anything about her or the Bones series. Her sister has a more typical glamorous look...
ReplyDeleteHi-
ReplyDeleteExcellent video, great sound and style and ya, I was definitely swaying and tapping. :-)
And I was fascinated to know that Zoey is the sister of the Doc on Bones. Cool.
Love Gail

ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful voice, and I'm impressed that she sings the old standards! I do not usually keep up on TV, movies, etc. so I had never heard of her before...Thank you for posting this! I will look for more of her music.
ReplyDeleteNever heard of her, but I thoroughly enjoyed this! I simply MUST get out into the "world" more! How do you pronounce her name?
