How to Obtain the Powers of a Superhero

I have posted before about the wonders that can be wrought from
Smoked Salmon & Cocktail-Style Pumpernickel Bread

Here is another way to eat this little sandwich:
Mix together cream cheese and prepared horseradish.
On 8 slices of pumpernickel bread, spread the cream cheese.
On 8 slices of pumpernickel bread spread avocado.
Put smoked salmon in the middle of one of each slice.

Printable (and more detailed) version here.

  1. this sandwich could be the closest thing to ew, i can imagine (no offense, really) but, if you get rid of the cream cheese and might just be dang good.

  2. Oh, Duchess. You are missing out on one of the finest things in life! CREAM CHEESE! Yummmm....

WHAT don't you like about cream cheese???

And no offense taken! I could eat these sandwiches every day they taste so good! To each his own, I suppose.

  3. Hey! these super powers sound great. I'll try your sandwich and let you know if it worked!

  4. Please do let me know! You will NEED some superpowers if you are working in schools :)

  5. no worries. I just dont like the sharp taste of it. But, i have a wicked recipe for a nutella cheesecake.

  6. Sounds delicious minus the smoked salmon!! Duchess, we'll anxiously await the nutella cheesecake recipe!

  7. here you go. sorry i don't have photos, but I rarely take pictures of what I cook/bake and i didnt want to steal them from offline. so go here:

  8. Wow - Superpowers in a sancwich - huh? If you say so. Boy -I could sure use some today - superpowers that is. Is it lunchtime yet?! I have to try this :) But hopefully not many of those powers are found in the horseradish...bc mine won't have that on it :)

  9. I think this recipe wins the award for the most CONTROVERSIAL of ingredients!

Maybe I should see what Joe Wilson thinks about it, too?!?!? (Ha. Ha. Ha.)

Well, if you try a renovated version, let me know!
