(we are thinking about limes just to to throw in some of her colors)
I'm hostessing (with some other gals of course) a Vintage Maine themed wedding shower in a few weeks. The couple had originally planned a destination wedding in Maine, but it had to be moved to the Georgia coast due to monetary restrictions for some of the wedding party (inlcuding ME!). So, the shower is to give them their "Maine celebration" after all.
Oh SL!!!!! What a CREATIVE soul you are!!! I loved especially the lobster claw coming out of the salad, such a very cool visual! Wish I'd known you when I was getting married : ) What a fun party this will be, and what a gracious idea : ) Can't wait to see pics from the real deal : )
ReplyDeleteI think this sounds DREAMY. I am hoping my kids are up for the drive next summer and we can make it up there. Be sure to post pictures!
ReplyDeleteBTW-- I made the shrimp tacos (with cod, breaded in panko) last night. My husband and I literally ate ourselves sick! Thank you for the sauce recipe!!!!
nice addition with the panko-breaded fish! I will have to try that.
ReplyDeleteI cracked up when I saw the "fin." If we were already at our cottage in Maine I would send you sea glass and some branches of fragrant balsam fir, one of the true essences of my beloved Maine.
ReplyDeleteI love what you're doing for your friends. Hope they will make it to Maine soon. Hope I will make it to Maine soon too.
Love,
