Today: Lots of Library.
Last night: We had Food and Wine's summer-vegetable casserole.
This is a recipe they claim is "centuries old."
This is one you want to follow step-by-step, even though it's simple. This is one that will be therapeutic to piece together after a long, overwhelming day. This one you will enjoy and one that your body will thank you for.
It calls for thyme. I used basil and oregano because that's what is growing on my porch. It also calls for Parmigiana-Reggiano cheese. Get the good kind. Leave the store brand at the store.
Get the recipe and find the article here.
glad to visit today...and i am making this tonight !!!!!

ReplyDeleteRecipe? What recipe? Is there more to this post than the picture of the library? *sigh*
ReplyDeleteThere should be a link. It works from my end! Let me know if it doesn't from yours...
ReplyDeleteI dont' think I've ever tried a "Food and Wine" recipe that wasn't absolutely wonderful. We loved the asparagus slaw you mentioned once and serve it often.
ReplyDeleteBTW: the link worked fine for me.
Agreed that whatever the amount of work it must be worth it-- their recipes are always the best. Hope your library day was lovely.
ReplyDeleteNC Mountainwoman,

Oh, my God! Just saw your comment! Yes, I do know there's a link and it works fine. It was just my way of saying that I'm drooling over the idea of studying in a library. Sorry for that!
