old fashioned pumpkin cookies

I spent all afternoon on Friday listening to old Quaker hymns put to new music by this amazing band and making batches of these cookies:

and then I spent all weekend eating the results.

I think I may have had one with my cereal Sunday morning before going to church.

I think Husband had one instead of cereal.

But it's okay. They have egg in them. That's breakfast food, right?

And they have LOTS of cinnamon. I put more than was necessary. And that's great for immunity and brain function and such, right?

And pumpkin. There's iron, potassium, magnesium, and beta-carotene. So, I think these made for a well-balanced breakfast.

Find this recipe here.

  4. AB and I are going to make these this afternoon for our Tuesday treat! Yummy! I also heard that the reason pumpkin was so hard to find was because one of the plants that make it had a really bad fire so they had to wait to ship to stores in Oct....well, that is at least what the nice man at Publix told me :)! Have a great week!
