Even though Husband says I can't start this project until after we've moved and unpacked, I'm glad to have made the decision. My swatches came in the mail, and after pining them up in various orders all over the living room for several days, here's the verdict:
The Chair and Ottoman Slipcover Fabric
(which I am going to try and sew myself)
Sadie Duck in Silver, only $8/yard
I love that there's a somewhat slate blue hue to this fabric. And I like that it won't show dirt as much as some!
The Slipcover Piping Fabric
Sadie Duck in Natural, only $8/yard
Curtain Fabric
Bold Strip in Cream, only $11/yard
Throw Pillow Fabric
Ione Contemporary in Gold, only $10/yard
I still love this one, but I am thinking I will store the image for a later use. Maybe Dining Chair Seat Cushion Fabric. It didn't meet my budget mark of super cheap :)
Thank you all for your help and input! When you picked out and commented on your "favorites" in this post, I began to see the whole design unfolding.
I'm anxious to see how your projects turn out! Wow - I've never sewn anything as unforgiving as a piping on a seat cover! Kudos from attempting it :)
ReplyDeleteToday - I need to break out my sewing machine to alter some PJ's for zebra costumes. The play is Sunday! Pray for us :)
I will!
ReplyDeleteI like the gentle pearliness!
