simply elegant birthday cards

Stamps are in!
Aren't they?
That's what I've gathered, anyway. Selective gathering, maybe.
Regardless, I've been creating birthday stationery with two rubber stamps and a pad of gold ink.

Since Husband and I have about a gazillion aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents between the two of us-- all of whom we are very thankful were born-- I decided to make a stack of birthday cards to have on hand for mailing out as birthdays come up.

Looking for that many birthday cards was sorely unsuccessful. Boxed birthday cards, as it turns out, are generally tacky or too child-oriented. I wanted something more simple, serene, and elegant.

Something more like this:

For materials, visit your local Michael's, Hobby Lobby, or other discount craft store or paper source.

Or, check out the rubber stamps here and here.

  1. Very nice! I really like the envelopes. You're off to good start w/ the resolution you made to be more creative...I think I'll resolve to attempt to be half as creative as you! ;)

  2. Ah, but this was SO easy! If it counts as creative, I think I'll achieve my resolutions after all! If only the foreign language resolution were going as well...
