"... to ask, What is art?, What is poetry?, What is music? is one way of asking What is a human being?"
Ah me, so true. As I organize myself to start spring semester full-force tomorrow-- and prepare to spend a lot of time in this chair, staring at this computer screen, here are some songs speaking to my core, reminding me in their diverse rhythms and lyrics what it is to be alive and full of aspiration and enjoying it all:
Frankly Mr. Shankly by Oslo Swan
Electric Boy by Lili Ster
Groove Me by King Floyd
Hallelujah by Astrazz
La Mar by The Beautiful Girls
Dreamcatcher by Secret Garden
Umbrella by PV Nova
Folding Chair by Regina Spektor
Lucky by Colbie Caillat and Jason Mraz
Let the Music Play by Robert Earl Keen

Nice, random selection of songs! ;) Drew is a fan of Robert Earl Keen, as well. Good luck with the new semester.
ReplyDeleteHa! It was a big Glenwood thing :)
ReplyDeleteOhhh, lots of this is new to me. Can't wait to explore it! Got one for you, too-- recently discovered Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. Some crazy, crazy hippies, but "Home" makes me smile!
