This weekend began in a good way.

With a package

from Kate the Garden Bell

containing a CD of her Top 20 Favorite songs of the Decades

which I won as a Runner Up in her giveaway honoring her 100th post.

I immediately popped it in the CD player, between The Red Mountain Church Band and Mozart's Serenades.

As I listened to the Garden Bell's favorite songs, I cooked Julia Child's Bifteck Saute Marchand de Vins, or Pan-Broiled Steak with Red Wine Sauce.

I also whipped up Julia's Garlic Butter to spread over the steaks before serving.

It was good.

  1. Lovely post! Love the picture of the "all-but-licked-plate" at the end. I guess Khan gets to do the "plate-lickin'"?
    Lug, Mug;-)
...And love the CD giveaway idea...Some good songs on there!

  3. So glad to see that your little CD arrived. Hope you enjoyed the quick journey through the decades. Enjoy!

Once again I'm seeing some butter here. I need to go for a run just looking at it.

I also see the puzzle pieces for Autism. I don't know if you know that my family is very involved with this. My nephew, Tyler, 16, is on the spectrum and my brother works for Autism Speaks. Thanks you for the support via a glass of vino.

    Enjoyed your post alot today.

Time to start the Monday chores.

    Hugs,

  6. Oh, no! I am scared I remind you of Julie! Husband and I kept saying, "She MIGHT be a little CRAZY throughout!" Ha! But I think I am, too, and that's OKAY!!!!

Garden Bell~ That's great that y'all are so involved! I try to support the cause and reseach whenever I see the opportunity. Let me know of anything coming up!
